Battle of the Super Tech Powers!
Microsoft and Google are setting the stage to battle out the Internet “search” market. In the next six months, Microsoft plans to have search engine technology in place that will make it superior to Google.
“What we’re saying is that in six months’ time we’ll be more relevant in the U.S. market place than Google. The quality of our search and the relevance of our search from a solution perspective to the consumer will be more relevant,” said Neil Holloway, of Microsoft.
Microsoft plans to integrate their new powerful search engine into its Windows Messenger chat program and Hotmail. The company, however, has no plans include the search in Windows Vista, it seems they have learned their lesson with the previous problems they encountered over bundling in the past.
With Googles 8 Billion dollars in liquid cash it is hard to imagine Microsoft having a chance, but I would never count out Bill Gates.
