Take a look on any webmaster/SEO forum and you will likely find many posts devoted to the above titled topic.  As of today it has been 109 days, 3 hours, 14 minutes and 22 seconds since the last tool bar update.  Previously the longest period between updates has been 111 days.  Matt Cutts has been spending a lot of time keeping people updated on what “Big Daddy” is doing and many think that may be what is holding up this update.

Folks are getting mighty nervous and it shows.  You can find posts ranging from the highly technical (eg: watching all datacenters and google bots closely), to the utter ubsurd (eg: my mother had a double hot flash this morning, the update must be close!).  Personally I think the update is coming soon and expect to see it sometime late next week.  What do I base my prediction on?  My 6 year old thinks so, that is why and you know what?  It seems as good a prediction as any.
